WHY
SHINGLE SHIELD?

The life expectancy of your roof varies with climatic conditions. Climatic conditions will allow moisture to be retained on all or part of your roof. This condition promotes the growth of moss, fungi and algae. Sunlight obstructions such as overhangs, shade trees or even northern exposure serve to increase this build-up. Your roof's overall appearance can look inconsistent - what seems to be "weathering" what very well might be green, white, or black patches of fungus |
discoloring the roof surface and breaking down the fibers. Moss, fungi and algae can penetrate roof or composite roof surfaces - weakening fibers, wearing off grits and curling, rounding, or cracking off corners.
If allowed to build up heavily, moss, fungi and algae can even lift the shingles.
